Judith G. Cooper has devoted her legal practice for over nineteen years exclusively to immigration and nationality law. In 1985, Ms. Cooper established the firm of Judith G. Cooper, P.C. Ms. Cooper enjoys an excellent reputation and is a frequent speaker on immigration issues to local bar associations, universities, business and community groups, on radio and television, and at national conferences.

EDUCATION: Ms. Cooper graduated from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, Caracas, Venezuela and was awarded the degree of Abogado (Attorney). She obtained her United States law degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa.

LICENSURE: Ms. Cooper has been admitted to the bar in Pennsylvania and Texas and has been certified in immigration and Nationality Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1984.

PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS: Ms. Cooper is a member of the Philadelphia and Houston Bar Associations. She has been active in the Houston Bar Association, having served as chairperson for both the Immigration Committee and the Law Day & Naturalization Committee. Ms. Cooper has been a long-time member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Her AILA participation on the local and national levels includes co-chairing the National Committee on Public Affairs, serving on the Subcommittee on Chapter- Media Relations, chairing the Texas Chapter and Houston Section and serving as Liaison to the Houston District Office of the INS for four years.

TEACHING AND PUBLICATIONS : Ms. Cooper served as an Adjunct Professor of Immigration and Nationality Law at the University of Houston Law Center from 1991-1996. Ms. Cooper has been an Associate Editor for AILA's annual "Immigration and Nationality Law Handbook" since 1991 and is currently a Senior Editor.
